The Qurrent system doesn't have a user interface. It has many. Web pages, phones, wall displays or even text messaging. We don't decide on the user interface. The user does.
The user interface is crucial in any system and ours is no exception. Different users choose to use different user interfaces. Or even different ones at different times. The Qurrent system architecture is designed to handle requests and commands from all those devices. The open architecture supports and encourages use of the system as it brings it closer to the user. Some examples:
Qmunity website
The main interface is the Qmunity website. Here users can perform every task they need such as energy analysis, device analysis, setting preferences for optimization as well as update account information. It is the most elaborate user interface in the system and can be accessed on any internet-connected computer.
Phone pages
Most of the analysis pages from the Qmunity website can also be viewed on a mobile phone. Information is specifically laid out for smaller screen sizes and orientation. Some control or editing of preferences is also enabled on the phone based user interface.
Text messaging
Some settings in the system, mostly the thermostat control, can be altered using text messaging from any mobile phone. Users can also choose to receive text messages periodically with stats or incidentally if problems occur. The text messaging user interface may not be very visual, but it is very practical
Other interfaces
Besides the more obvious interfaces listed above, the Qurrent system could display information via: (see Qmunity web page)
• Large monitors
• Desktop widgets/gadgets
• Email
• iPhone app
• Interactive TV sets
• Paper reports (very effective!)
• Etc.
Custom designs and branding
All user interfaces are Qurrent-branded. However, custom designs and white label products can be developed. If you are interested in offering our system under your brand, please contact us.
